Food and shelter – two basic life necessities, both with conventionally enormous carbon footprints.  We are continually striving to reduce the carbon footprint of our buildings, but what about our food?  Organic farms and low energy buildings have much in common – climate responsive design being number one.

As we approach harvest time, here is a recap of just a few of our favourite Vancouver gardens, which thrived as gardeners adapted to this year’s cool and rainy summer.
